Pekanbaru – In an effort to strengthen its commitment to public information disclosure, Universitas Riau, through the Information and Documentation Management Officer (PPID), held a workshop themed “Realizing Universitas Riau as a Transparent and Accountable University through Public Information Disclosure.” The event took place on Thursday, August 21, 2025, at the Integrated Classroom Building of Universitas Riau.
The workshop was attended by university leaders, including the Dean of the Faculty of Economics and Business, Dr. Hj. Alvi Furwanti Alwie, SE., MM., who also expressed her support for the implementation of information transparency within the university.
Through this workshop, all unit leaders reaffirmed their commitment to supporting public information disclosure and pledged full support to the PPID teams within their respective units. This serves as a concrete step toward realizing Universitas Riau as a higher education institution that upholds transparency, accountability, and good governance.
This event also served as a platform to strengthen synergy among work units in managing and delivering public information in an accurate, timely, and accessible manner, in line with Law Number 14 of 2008 on Public Information Disclosure.
With the successful implementation of this workshop, it is hoped that all elements within Universitas Riau will become increasingly prepared and capable of fostering a culture of information transparency, as part of providing quality and integrity-driven public services.
