Pekanbaru, May 5, 2026 – The University of Riau (UNRI) received a working visit from the Supreme Audit Agency of the Republic of Indonesia (BPK RI) at the Kunto Darussalam Room, Rectorate Building. This activity was officially opened by the Rector of UNRI, Prof. Dr. Sri Indarti, S.E., M.Si, who in her remarks emphasized that this visit was a strategic step to strengthen collaboration between universities and state institutions in realizing good governance, as well as to improve transparency, accountability, and the quality of financial management within the university environment.

"The collaboration between UNRI and the Indonesian Audit Board (BPK RI) is an important step to ensure that higher education financial management can be more transparent and accountable," the Rector emphasized. "With this synergy, we hope UNRI can continue to strengthen its internal oversight system and comply with applicable regulations, in order to realize a more superior and competitive higher education institution."
The event was attended by the Vice Rector for Academic Affairs, the Vice Rector for Finance and General Affairs, and the Deans, including Dr. Hj. Alvi Furwanti Alwie, S.E., M.M., Dean of the Faculty of Economics and Business at UNRI, Head of Institutions, and the Director of Postgraduate Studies.

The BPK RI delegation, led by Drs. H. Fathan Subchi, M.A.P., CIISA., ChFA., CSFA., as Member VI of the BPK RI and Head of State Financial Audit VI, attended the event along with the Director of Audit VI.C, Arifa Kiswarida, and the Head of Audit Subdirectorate VI.C.2, Surya Hadi Saputra. The BPK RI delegation expressed their hope that collaborative activities like this would strengthen the synergy between state audit institutions and higher education institutions, improving the effectiveness of oversight and the quality of state financial governance, including on campus.
The discussion between UNRI leaders and BPK RI representatives emphasized the importance of strengthening state financial governance in higher education institutions and opportunities for future institutional synergy to improve the effectiveness of internal oversight systems and the quality of Indonesian higher education institutions.
