Pekanbaru, January 19, 2026 — The Doctoral (PhD) Program in Management, Faculty of Economics and Business, Universitas Riau (FEB UNRI), once again conducted a Doctoral Promotion Examination by involving an external examiner from abroad. The doctoral promotion examination of Promovendus Padil Putra Firani was held on Monday, January 19, 2026, at the Dissertation Examination Room of the PhD in Management Program, FEB UNRI.
The examination was chaired by Dr. Andewi Rokhmawati, S.E., M.Si., M.Ed, and assisted by the Secretary of the Examination, Dr. Lailan Tawila Berampu, S.E., M.Si. The board of examiners consisted of Prof. Jumiati Sasmita, S.E., M.Si., Ph.D (Promoter), Dr. Yulia Efni, S.E., M.E (Co-Promoter I), Prof. Dr. Kamaliah, S.E., M.M., Ak (Co-Promoter II), Prof. Dr. Susi Hendriani, S.E., M.Si (Examiner), Dr. Yusni Maulida, S.E., M.Si (Examiner), Dr. Gatot Wijayanto, S.E., M.Si (Examiner), and Lt. Colonel (CD) Professor Ts. Dr. Norazah Mohd Suki as the External Examiner from Universiti Utara Malaysia.
The Dean of the Faculty of Economics and Business, Universitas Riau (FEB UNRI), Dr. Hj. Alvi Furwanti Alwie, S.E., M.M., stated that the involvement of external examiners from overseas is part of the university’s commitment to strengthening academic quality and doctoral education governance.
“The presence of external examiners from international universities in the PhD in Management dissertation examinations at FEB UNRI reflects our commitment to reinforcing quality standards and fostering an academic atmosphere of international caliber. It is also an effort to ensure that dissertation quality is assessed objectively, comprehensively, and in line with global academic practices,” Dr. Alvi emphasized.
The PhD in Management Program at FEB UNRI continues to promote an excellent academic ecosystem through rigorous supervision, examination, and scholarly collaboration processes, including the engagement of international external examiners as part of efforts to enhance graduate quality and strengthen scholarly contributions.
