Pekanbaru – The Faculty of Economics and Business at the University of Riau (FEB UNRI) held a socialization and training event as part of the 2025 Introduction to Campus Life for New Students (PKKMB), which took place on Tuesday, July 22, 2025, in the FEB Yudisium Room. With the theme "Know the Rules, Master First Aid", the event aimed to provide new students with initial guidance on the importance of legal awareness and basic emergency medical skills.
The event was divided into two main sessions. The first session was a Socialization on Crime Prevention in the Campus Environment, delivered by legal expert Erdiansyah, S.H., M.H. In his presentation, Erdiansyah emphasized the importance of early legal awareness in academic settings, including an understanding of both minor and serious offenses that could occur on campus. He also discussed the legal consequences of actions such as plagiarism, sexual harassment, and bullying, as well as the role of students in fostering a safe and conducive campus environment.

The second session continued with Basic Training in Medical Emergency Response, led by a team from the Indonesian Red Cross (PMI) at the University of Riau, namely Aulia Syafitri and Zeri Azwan. Participants received basic first aid training (P3K), including how to respond to fainting, minor injuries, and perform cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR). The training was conducted interactively and involved live simulations, which were met with great enthusiasm by the new students.
This activity is part of FEB UNRI’s efforts to shape a young generation that is not only academically capable but also legally aware and responsive to emergency situations. With a relevant theme and qualified speakers, the event is expected to instill values of discipline, empathy, and social responsibility in the incoming students.
