PPI Dunia President Marhadi Encourages Riau Students to Study Abroad

Pekanbaru, 30 November 2024 – Marhadi, the President of Perhimpunan Pelajar Indonesia (PPI) Dunia (Indonesian Student Alliance Worldwide), is encouraging students from Riau to pursue their education abroad. An alumnus of the Faculty of Economics and Business, Universitas Riau (FEB Unri), Marhadi emphasized that studying overseas offers a unique experience and the opportunity to acquire knowledge that can be applied in the professional world.

“Stay motivated and realize your dreams. The higher you fly, the more knowledge you gain,” said Marhadi on Saturday, November 30, 2024.

Currently a Ph.D. student in Budapest, Hungary, Marhadi shared that PPI Dunia is ready to assist Indonesian students who wish to study abroad. The organization provides guidance in handling documents, helps secure scholarships, and offers information about the right universities.

"PPI Dunia also helps in finding supervisors and mentors to ensure students succeed in their studies," said Marhadi.

The former chairman of the BLM FEB Unri in 2003 explained that PPI Dunia has already established collaborations with universities, state-owned enterprises, and private companies for educational transfers and webinars to share knowledge.

“The goal is to improve the quality of human resources to achieve Indonesia's vision of becoming a Golden Indonesia by 2045,” Marhadi added.

A faculty member of the Management Department at FEB Unri, Marhadi further explained that PPI Dunia has conducted meetings with the Ministry of Higher Education, Science, and Technology to improve the quality of education. The organization is also supporting small and medium enterprises (SMEs) in export-import activities and promoting international scholarships.

Hailing from Selat Panjang, Marhadi expressed his hope to collaborate with the Ikatan Keluarga Alumni Fakultas Ekonomi (Ikafe) Unri to assist alumni who wish to continue their education at international universities.

Meanwhile, Djonieri, Chairman of Ikafe Unri, expressed readiness to collaborate with PPI Dunia to open pathways for alumni and students interested in studying abroad.
