The Faculty of Economics and Business at Universitas Riau (FEB Unri) successfully held the Introduction to Campus Life for New Students (PKKMB) event on August 1–2, 2025, at the FEB Unri campus grounds.

The event was officially opened by the Dean of FEB Unri, Dr. Hj. She underlined the importance of positive adaptation to the academic environment and encouraged students to be active and achieve excellence.

The event was also attended by the faculty’s leadership team, including Vice Dean I for Academic Affairs, Dr. Deny Setiawan, SE., M.Ec., Vice Dean II for General Affairs and Finance, and Vice Dean III for Student Affairs, Alumni, and Partnerships, Rendra Wasnury, SE., MIB. Also present were the Chair of the FEB Unri Senate, Heads of Departments, Program Coordinators, and lecturers within FEB Unri.

Support for the event came not only from within the campus but also from external parties, including invited guests from the Watershed Management Agency (BPDAS), the Department of Environment and Forestry (DLHK), as well as a distinguished alumnus of FEB Unri, Franky Adi Thama, S.E., who was present to share his experiences and inspiration with the new students.

On the second day, the PKKMB activities focused on departmental orientations, delivered directly by the Heads of Departments and faculty members from the Bachelor’s programs in Accounting, Management, and Economics, as well as the Diploma programs in Taxation and Accounting. These orientations aimed to provide an initial understanding of the curriculum structure, academic activities, and personal development opportunities within each study program.

The event atmosphere became even livelier with entertainment and interactive sessions organized by the committee, designed to break the ice and strengthen the bond among the new students.

PKKMB FEB Unri 2025 marked the beginning of an enthusiastic academic journey, opening up avenues for collaboration and fostering a strong determination to become a young intellectual generation with an entrepreneurial spirit, contributing to the nation's progress.
