
Pekanbaru, December 23, 2025 — Universitas Riau (UNRI), through the Institute for Research and Community Service (LPPM), held a Focus Group Discussion (FGD) on the Technical Guidelines for the Impactful KUKERTA (Community Service Program) UNRI 2026 on Tuesday (December 23, 2025), at the Labersa Grand Hotel & Convention Center, Kampar. The event was attended by the Rector of UNRI, Prof. Dr. Sri Indarti, S.E., M.Si., vice rectors, faculty deans, as well as heads of institutes and work units within the UNRI environment.
The Head of LPPM UNRI, Prof. Dr. Mubarak, M.Si., reported that the FGD aimed to align the understanding of all stakeholders regarding the technical guidelines for the implementation of the Impactful KUKERTA Program in 2026. The program is designed to strengthen the role of students in community service activities that are relevant to regional needs and aligned with national development policies.
“Impactful KUKERTA 2026 is directed so that students do not merely participate in community activities, but are able to deliver measurable and sustainable solutions, while also supporting the achievement of higher education Key Performance Indicators,” explained Prof. Mubarak.

The FGD was officially opened by the Rector of UNRI, Prof. Dr. Sri Indarti, S.E., M.Si., who emphasized the importance of synergy and alignment in planning between the university, faculties, and work units to support the successful implementation of Impactful KUKERTA as well as the management of the 2026 budget.
“Careful planning and strong coordination are key to ensuring that every program delivers tangible benefits for both the community and the institution,” stated Prof. Sri.

The Dean of the Faculty of Economics and Business (FEB) UNRI, Dr. Hj. Alvi Furwanti Alwie, S.E., M.M., expressed FEB UNRI’s readiness to support the implementation of Impactful KUKERTA by strengthening the role of supervising lecturers and integrating the program with the disciplines of economics and business, so that students are able to deliver practical and sustainable solutions within the community.

In line with this, FEB UNRI is also aligning the implementation of Impactful KUKERTA 2026 by strengthening the FEB UNRI Assisted Village Program 2026 in Logas Village, as well as conducting the FEB UNRI Thematic KUKERTA in the same village. This approach is intended to ensure the sustainability of community service programs, while also fostering tangible impacts that are directly experienced by the community based on local potential and needs.
