Pekanbaru - October 14, 2025 – Radio Republik Indonesia (RRI) Pro 1 FM 99.1 Pekanbaru, in collaboration with the Faculty of Economics and Business, Universitas Riau (FEB UNRI), held an Interactive Dialogue Outside the Studio themed “Realizing a Strong Environmental Support System in Riau.” The event took place at the Srikandi Building, Faculty of Economics and Business, Universitas Riau, on Tuesday, October 14, 2025, from 9:00 to 10:00 a.m. WIB.
The event featured speakers from academia, government, and professional circles who discussed various strategic issues related to environmental sustainability and economic development in Riau Province. The speakers included Dr. Alvi Furawanti Alwie, SE., MM (Dean of the Faculty of Economics and Business, Universitas Riau), Muhammad Aldi Saputra (Mapala Humendala FEB UNRI), Arif Suhastyo, S.Hut., M.Si (Head of Forest Rehabilitation, BPDAS Indragiri Rokan, Riau Province), and Melque Hasudungan, SE., MM (Associate Expert in Environmental Impact Control, DLHK Riau Province). The session was moderated by RRI presenter Khairani Januarrini, SE. Through this dialogue, it is hoped that new ideas and concrete steps will emerge to optimize natural resources sustainably without neglecting social and environmental aspects.
In her opening remarks, the Dean of the Faculty of Economics and Business, Universitas Riau, expressed her appreciation for the synergy between the academic community and public media such as RRI. “This event serves as an important platform to disseminate information and educate the public about the importance of maintaining a balance between economic development and environmental sustainability,” she stated.
Meanwhile, a representative from RRI Pro 1 Pekanbaru emphasized RRI’s commitment as a public broadcasting institution to providing educational programs that encourage public participation in regional development issues. The interactive dialogue was also broadcast live on 99.1 FM, allowing the wider community to take part.
Through this event, the Faculty of Economics and Business, Universitas Riau, and RRI Pekanbaru hope to strengthen public awareness and expand cross-sector collaboration in realizing a resilient, sustainable, and competitive Riau.
