Pekanbaru, April 29, 2026 — The Faculty of Economics and Business, University of Riau (FEB UNRI) conducted a benchmarking session with the Faculty of Economics and Business Education (FPEB) at the Indonesian University of Education (UPI) Bandung. This activity is a strategic step by FEB UNRI to strengthen its quality assurance system, improve academic governance, internationalize, and develop a sustainable quality culture within the faculty.
The arrival of the FEB UNRI delegation, led by Dean Dr. Hj. Alvi Furwanti Alwie, S.E., M.M., was warmly welcomed by the Dean of FPEB UPI Bandung, Prof. Dr. Hj. Ratih Hurriyati, M.P., along with the Vice Dean for Education and Quality Assurance, Dr. Heny Hendrayati, S.IP., M.M., and other deans. The reception took place in a friendly, warm, and productive atmosphere, demonstrating the shared commitment between universities to building superior, adaptive higher education. The meeting also served as a strategic space to strengthen institutional networks and open up opportunities for sustainable collaboration in the future.

Benchmarking focuses on the exchange of best practices in faculty quality management, international accreditation, curriculum development, and modern academic service governance.
The Dean of the Faculty of Economics and Business (FEB) at UNRI, Dr. Hj. Alvi Furwanti Alwie, S.E., M.M., stated that this benchmarking is part of the faculty's commitment to continuously transform and improve institutional quality amidst the increasingly competitive dynamics of higher education.
"FEB UNRI continues to move forward by learning from the best institutions. Through this benchmarking, we aim to gain insights, innovations, and superior practices that can be adapted to strengthen FEB UNRI's academic quality, services, and competitiveness at the national and international levels."
Dr. Alvi added that a culture of quality must be built collectively and sustainably, from planning, implementation, evaluation, and follow-up to improvements across all work units.
Meanwhile, the Dean of the Faculty of Economics and Business (FPEB) at UPI Bandung, Prof. Dr. Hj. Ratih Hurriyati, M.P., welcomed the visit and considered interfaculty collaboration an important space for mutual learning and strengthening the higher education ecosystem.
"We warmly welcome the presence of FEB UNRI. Benchmarking like this is very positive because it opens up a space for sharing experiences, innovations, and quality improvement strategies that benefit both institutions."
It is hoped that FEB UNRI will obtain various strategic recommendations that can be implemented to accelerate the achievement of superior quality standards, expand national and international recognition, and provide increasingly high-quality educational services for students and the community.
