The Faculty of Economics and Business celebrated its 61st anniversary at the One Alumni Coffee courtyard on Monday, September 25. The event was attended by faculty members, the Dean and Vice Deans, retired faculty members, student organization representatives, and honored by the presence of the Rector of Universitas Riau, Prof. Dr. Hj. Sri Indarti, SE., M.Si. The program began with the MC's opening remarks, followed by a report from the Chairperson and Vice Dean III, Mr. Rendra Wasnury, SE., MIB.
Dr. Hj. Alvi Furwanti Alwie, SE., MM, Dean of the Faculty of Economics and Business, delivered a speech, followed by the official opening by the Rector, Prof. Dr. Hj. Sri Indarti, SE., M.Si.
During the celebration, the Faculty of Economics and Business also conducted the soft launch of the AVI application, a virtual academic service application. Additionally, they launched the Faculty of Economics and Business Campus Forest Area. This initiative is aligned with Universitas Riau's priority program to create a healthy, safe, and comfortable campus environment.
In her address, the Rector expressed hope that the 61st anniversary of the Faculty of Economics and Business would serve as a reflection point for continuous growth and the development of future generations of outstanding and character-driven leaders for the nation. The event concluded with a friendly gathering among faculty members and guests in attendance.
