The Faculty of Economics and Business, as a pioneer in economics and business, consistently supports the development of entrepreneurship at Universitas Riau. Concurrent with the Grand Launching of Wirausaha Merdeka Batch II at Universitas Riau, the inauguration of the UNRI Entrepreneur Society (UNRIES) was also held. UNRIES serves as a community hub for young entrepreneurs within the university.
The support and readiness of the Faculty of Economics and Business are evident through the appointment of 7 core officials from the faculty to UNRIES. The newly appointed structure of UNRIES includes:
1. Chairman: Akrom Mahdi (Management 2020)
2. Vice Chairman: Muhammad Fajar Aqila (Accounting 2020)
3. Secretary: Fazry Alhadi (Accounting 2020)
4. Treasurer: Bunga Yefita (Accounting 2020)
5. Head of Business Development: Maddayansyah (Management 2020)
6. Head of Public Relations: Defna Friska (Management 2020)
7. Head of Event Planner: Awang Buana (Management 2020)
Additionally, the Faculty of Economics and Business significantly contributed by sending over 100 students to participate in the Wirausaha Merdeka Batch II program at Universitas Riau. After the event, Dean of the Faculty of Economics and Business, Dr. Hj. Alvi Furwanti Alwie, SE., MM, expressed her high hopes for the program. She envisions that this initiative will cultivate young, smart, resilient, and competent entrepreneurs who will play a vital role in supporting the nation's economy in the future.
