The spirit of celebrating independence was also deeply felt by the women of Universitas Riau. The Dharma Wanita Persatuan (DWP) of Universitas Riau, through its Social and Cultural Division, organized the commemoration of the 78th Indonesian Independence Day on the grounds of the University's Rectorate.
The event began with aerobic exercises, followed by a social gathering (arisan) and traditional competitions. Representatives from women across 10 faculties participated in these activities. Dean of the Faculty of Economics and Business, Dr. Hj. Alvi Furwanti Alwie, SE., MM, along with faculty members and staff from the Faculty of Economics and Business, were also present at the event.
