The 2026 FEB UNRI Dean's Cup Officially Opens, Dean: "Uphold Sportsmanship and Produce Student Achievements"

Pekanbaru, April 25, 2026 – The Student Executive Board (BEM) of the Faculty of Economics and Business, University of Riau (FEB UNRI) once again held the 2026 Dean's Cup FEB UNRI as a platform to develop student interests, talents, and achievements. The event, held at the Lancang Kuning Arena in Pekanbaru, was attended by participants from various universities and was a lively event, with high enthusiasm from students and supporters alike.

With the theme "United in Sportsmanship, Fighting in Competition, and Achieving the Champion," the 2026 Dean's Cup FEB UNRI featured four competitions: 3x3 Basketball, Badminton, Mobile Legends: Bang Bang (MLBB), and Pro Evolution Soccer (PES). This event provided a positive space for students to unleash their potential, strengthen relationships, and foster a healthy competitive spirit.

Also present at the opening ceremony were faculty leaders, student organization administrators, the organizing committee, participants from various campuses, as well as sponsors and partners who supported the event. The presence of sponsors is a form of positive synergy between the world of education, the business world, and the younger generation in encouraging the birth of creative, productive, and competitive student activities.

In her remarks before officially opening the event, the Dean of the Faculty of Economics and Business (FEB) at UNRI, Dr. Hj. Alvi Furwanti Alwie, S.E., M.M., stated that the Dean's Cup is not just a competition, but also an effort to build the character of a young generation that is sporty, disciplined, resilient, and capable of working together.

Dr. Alvi emphasized that through this activity, students are expected to demonstrate their best abilities, both in sports and digital creativity. She stated that student excellence is not only determined by academic achievement in the classroom, but also by their activeness, creativity, health, and ability to compete in a sporting manner.

Furthermore, Dr. Alvi assured that the faculty will continue to support student activities that are productive, inspiring, and have a positive impact on student development. This support is part of FEB UNRI's commitment to creating a dynamic and achievement-oriented campus environment.

He also hoped that the 2026 Dean's Cup FEB UNRI would strengthen ties between students across campuses and serve as a platform for the development of new athletes and esports talents who could bring glory to Riau Province at a higher level.

The opening ceremony was lively and filled with a spirit of togetherness. Participants enthusiastically participated in the series of activities and were ready to give their best performance in each competition. The support of sponsors and partners added to the excitement of the event and demonstrated the strong commitment to developing the potential of the younger generation.

FEB UNRI reaffirmed its commitment as a higher education institution that focuses not only on academic excellence but also actively encourages the development of character, leadership, sportsmanship, and student creativity.
