To Produce World-Class Leaders, FEB UNRI Holds International Public Lecture with Speakers from Hungary

Pekanbaru, April 25, 2026 — The Faculty of Economics and Business, University of Riau (FEB UNRI) once again demonstrated its commitment to providing a world-class education by holding a Public Lecture Webinar entitled "Leading Beyond Borders: How Global Experience Shapes Indonesia's Future Leaders." This event featured an international speaker, Beata Alt from United Collaborative Group Kft, Budapest, Hungary, and was attended by students and the general public online via Zoom Meeting.

This event provided a strategic opportunity for students to gain new insights into the importance of global experience in shaping the character of future leaders. Through cross-border discussions, participants were encouraged to understand that the competencies of modern leaders are not only built from classroom theory, but also from experiences interacting internationally.

Met on a separate occasion, the Dean of FEB UNRI, Dr. Hj. Alvi Furwanti Alwie, S.E., M.M., stated that universities have a significant responsibility in preparing a young generation ready to compete globally.

"The Faculty of Economics and Business (FEB) UNRI continues to foster graduates who are adaptable, internationally minded, and capable of becoming future leaders. Global experience, cross-cultural communication skills, and the courage to innovate are essential keys to facing the challenges of the times," said Dr. Alvi.

In the keynote session, Beata Alt shared her insights on how experience working and interacting in an international environment can shape visionary leadership. She emphasized that future leaders need to possess collaboration skills, cross-cultural communication skills, and the courage to seize opportunities at the global level.

"Leadership today is not only about leading locally, but also about understanding the world, embracing diversity, and turning global experiences into meaningful impact for society. Indonesia has tremendous young talent to lead beyond borders," said Beata Alt.

FEB UNRI continues to strengthen its path toward becoming a superior faculty, open to international collaboration, and consistently producing quality human resources capable of advancing Indonesia on the world stage.
