Technical Meeting with Partners of the MBKM Independent Entrepreneurship Program at the Faculty of Economics and Business, Riau University (MBKM WMM FEB Unri)

The MBKM Wirausaha Merdeka Mandiri (WMM) FEB Unri is an independent MBKM program worth 20 credits, scheduled for the odd semester of 2024/2025, spanning 16 weeks. It involves four partners: the Riau Provincial Tourism Office, the Indonesian Forum for the Environment (WALHI) Riau, the Training and Community Empowerment Center for Villages, Disadvantaged Areas, and Transmigration (BPPMDDTT), and the Pekanbaru Industrial Standardization and Service Center (BSPJI).

The WMM program includes 2 professional coaches, 4 field supervisors (DPL), and 37 undergraduate students, divided into 8 groups, each working on an output project with the partners.

As an independent MBKM entrepreneurship activity, WMM collaborates with the Career and Entrepreneurship Development Center (P2K2) of Riau University and is under the academic assistance of Riau University.

One of the key outcomes of this activity is a prototype project (partner/industry product), which addresses partner issues and contributes to performance enhancement and sustainability.

Participating students will gain direct experience of the roles of government or partner organizations, working with coaches/mentors under the guidance of DPL. This hands-on experience aims to produce projects or prototypes as part of WMM's outcomes and provides networking opportunities that impact the completion of their final thesis research.

This 20-credit activity contributes to achieving Institutional Key Performance Indicators (IKU) 2 (students gaining off-campus experience), IKU 3 (faculty engaging in off-campus activities), and IKU 6 (programs collaborating with partners).

At the end of the program, an exhibition will be held to showcase projects or prototypes developed with partners. These will become intellectual property assets of the institution (HAKI Unri) and can be utilized by the partners in their operations.
