Pekanbaru, (September 20, 2024) – The Faculty of Economics and Business (FEB) at Riau University (Unri) welcomed a visit from SMK Bina Profesi today. The event was attended by the Vice Dean I of FEB Unri, the Head of the Accounting Department, the Program Coordinator for the Bachelor’s in Accounting, as well as the Principal of SMK Bina Profesi. Accompanying them were teachers and 28 students from the Accounting and Banking departments of SMK Bina Profesi.
The purpose of this event was to serve as a networking opportunity while providing new insights for students regarding the fields of Accounting and Banking. In his speech, the Vice Dean I emphasized the importance of enhancing students’ skills and understanding of professions in finance and accounting in an increasingly dynamic globalization era. He also encouraged students to remain open to further educational opportunities at the university level.
The activities included presentations by FEB Unri faculty members, interactive discussions between students and academics, and a Q&A session addressing various current issues in the fields of accounting and banking. The Principal of SMK Bina Profesi expressed appreciation for this opportunity, hoping it would broaden students’ perspectives on career options in finance.
With this visit, students are expected to be more motivated to continue developing their knowledge and prepare themselves to face the challenges of the job market in the future.
