
Pekanbaru, February 14, 2026 — The Alumni Association of the Faculty of Economics (IKAFE) of Universitas Riau held its 7th General Assembly (Mubes VII) at the Srikandi Hall, Faculty of Economics and Business (FEB), Universitas Riau, Pekanbaru. Carrying the theme “Endless Alumni Fellowship,” the assembly served as a strategic forum to strengthen alumni consolidation, evaluate the performance of the current management, and determine the organization’s leadership for the upcoming term.
The event was attended by the Dean of FEB UNRI, Dr. Hj. Alvi Furwanti Alwie, S.E., M.M.; the Vice Dean for Student Affairs, Alumni, and Cooperation, Rendra Wasnury, S.E., M.IB; the Chairman of IKA UNRI, Wan Muhammad Hasyim, S.E., Ak. (Suhu Wan); the Chairman of IKAFE for the 2022–2026 period, Dr. Djonieri, S.E., Ak., M.B.A., C.A.; as well as alumni representatives from various cohorts.
In his remarks, the Chairman of IKA UNRI, Wan Muhammad Hasyim, S.E., Ak., emphasized that the strength of the alumni community lies in the solidity of its network and the consistency of its contributions to the alma mater.
“The IKAFE General Assembly is an important momentum to maintain unity and strengthen the role of alumni as strategic partners of the university. The alumni network must continue to take concrete action: supporting students, enhancing the university’s reputation, and expanding cross-sector collaboration.”

The Dean of the Faculty of Economics and Business, Universitas Riau, Dr. Hj. Alvi Furwanti Alwie, S.E., M.M., stated that IKAFE serves as a vital pillar in strengthening the alumni–campus ecosystem, with a direct impact on the development of the faculty and its students.
“This General Assembly is not merely an organizational agenda, but a space to renew our shared commitment. FEB UNRI hopes that IKAFE will grow even stronger as a strategic partner, delivering concrete and sustainable programs, while opening up more opportunities for both students and alumni.”

In line with this, the Vice Dean for Student Affairs, Alumni, and Cooperation of FEB UNRI, Rendra Wasnury, S.E., M.IB., emphasized the importance of alumni programs that are strategically directed toward strengthening graduates’ career development and competitiveness.
“Alumni collaboration is a powerful driving force for student development. Moving forward, the synergy between IKAFE and FEB UNRI can be strengthened through mentoring, professional networking, internship programs, and support for student activities that align with the needs of the job market.”
The General Assembly sessions also included the organization’s accountability agenda. The Accountability Report (LPJ) of the IKAFE UNRI Executive Board for the 2022–2026 period was presented by the Chairman of IKAFE, Dr. Djonieri, S.E., Ak., M.B.A., C.A. The forum subsequently expressed appreciation and gratitude for the dedication of the 2022–2026 management in maintaining organizational cohesion, fostering communication across alumni cohorts, and strengthening alumni relations with FEB UNRI.
Dr. Djonieri is widely recognized as a senior official at the Financial Services Authority (OJK). He was inaugurated as Deputy Commissioner for Internal Audit, Risk Management, and Quality Control in April 2025. In addition to his role at OJK, Dr. Djonieri also serves as Chairman of the Code of Ethics Council of the Indonesian Institute of Accountants (IAI) for the 2024–2027 term.

The highlight of the 7th General Assembly was marked by the forum’s final decision. Through deliberation and mutual agreement among participants, Mubes VII appointed Aslan Wiguna, S.E., Ak., M.M., CFE, CFO as Chairman of IKAFE UNRI for the 2026–2030 term.
Aslan Wiguna is an alumnus of Accounting at Universitas Riau (Bachelor’s degree, 1992) and completed his Master’s degree in Financial Management at Universitas Brawijaya in 2003. He has an extensive professional track record in audit, governance, and compliance, including serving as Chief Audit Executive at INPEX Masela Ltd. (2019–2022) and Senior Manager of Internal Audit & Compliance at INPEX Corporation (2016–2019). Currently, Aslan serves as President Director of PT Nizar Bara Borneo (2023–present) and President Commissioner of PT Karya Bangsa Indonesia (2022–present). He also holds several professional certifications, including CFE, CFO, and CA, and has experience in cross-border assignments.
Moving forward, under the new leadership, IKAFE UNRI is set to strengthen more measurable and impactful contributions. Several priority programs for 2026–2030 have been outlined to reinforce the organization, including: the development of an integrated alumni database as a foundation for networking and collaboration; career mentoring and professional networking programs for students and fresh graduates; strengthening link and match initiatives through internship opportunities, recruitment pathways, and partnerships with businesses and industry; alumni-based scholarships and educational support initiatives; as well as alumni contribution programs that support academic development, student activities, and the advancement of the FEB Greek Campus.
With the successful convening of the 7th General Assembly and the establishment of new leadership, IKAFE UNRI is expected to grow even stronger in uniting the potential of alumni across generations, expanding partnerships, and delivering tangible contributions to the advancement of students, the Faculty of Economics and Business of Universitas Riau, and Universitas Riau as a whole.
