FEB Universitas Riau Hosts International Conference on Economics, Business, and Accounting & Riau International Community Service (RICEBA & RICS) 2024
The Faculty of Economics and Business, Universitas Riau (FEB UNRI), once again demonstrated its international presence by organizing the International Conference on Economics, Business, and Accounting & Riau International Community Service (RICEBA & RICS) 2024. This prestigious event took place on November 19-20, 2024, at the Pangeran Hotel in Pekanbaru and virtually via Zoom Meeting, under the theme “Trends and Future Outlook in Global Economics, Business, and Accounting.”
The hybrid conference was officially opened by Dr. Ir. Sofyan Husein Siregar, M.Phil., Vice Rector IV of Universitas Riau, and was attended by Tengku Zul Effendi, SH, M.Si., Expert Staff for Economics and Finance of the Riau Provincial Government, and Dr. Alvi Furwanti Alwie, MM, Dean of FEB UNRI. In his speech, Tengku Zul Effendi emphasized the importance of the event for enhancing the knowledge and competencies of both academics and practitioners in Riau. The Vice Rector IV also expressed appreciation to the organizing committee for successfully executing this international-scale event.
RICEBA & RICS 2024 featured several keynote speakers from both domestic and international institutions, including Jau-Rong Chen, Ph.D., from Ming Chi University of Technology, Taiwan, Dr. Kharirul Anuar Kamarudin, ACMA, CGMA, from the University of Wollongong Dubai, and Prof. Dr. Yusliza Mohd Yusoff from Universiti Malaysia Terengganu. Additional speakers included Effezal Aswadi Abdul Wahab, Ph.D., from Curtin University, Australia, and Prof. Dr. Ria Nelly Sari, SE, MBA, from Universitas Riau.
Tengku Firli Musfar, SE., MM., Chair of the organizing committee, revealed that the conference had 151 presenters from various prestigious universities, both from Indonesia and abroad. Over the two-day event, participants presented their research findings, turning the conference into a forum for sharing knowledge, innovative solutions, and best practices in addressing global challenges.
